Report from the ECCE 2019 Conference

The ECCE 2019 conference is located at Ulster University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. During the three days of the conference, I presented one paper and my colleague Ulrik Söderström presented two other papers that we both co-authored with students on the MSc program in Interaction Technology and Design at Umeå University.

During the first day of the conference, I presented a paper on design friction developed together with Sarah Hale, one of our amazing students on the Interaction Technology and Design study program at Umeå University.

Mejtoft, T., Hale, S., & Söderström, U. (2019). Design Friction: How intentionally added friction affect users level of satisfaction. In M. Mulvenna & R. Bond (Eds.), Proceedings of the 31st European Conference on Cognitive Ergonomics (pp. 41-44). New York, NY: ACM.

Above you can find the links to the papers published in the conference proceedings in ACM Digital Library. The papers will be open access for a limited time. If you cannot download the papers, feel free to contact me if you want copies of the papers.

Except presenting papers at the conference, we had the possibility to strengthen current contacts and create new contacts within important areas connected to the education and research we are currently working with at the Digital Media Lab at Umeå University. A fruitful trip and conference! A big thumbs up to the organisers at Ulster University in Belfast!

Don’t hesitate to contact me with questions on any of the papers, research, education or future cooperation. Now the conference is coming to an end and I will go back to Sweden early tomorrow morning.
